Public Speaking

For seasoned speakers looking to improve aspects of their delivery, or novices grappling with sweaty palms and racing hearts, I’m here to guide you towards a new narrative of confidence and control.

Perhaps you are in the early stages of your public speaking journey, battling with the fear of freezing, stumbling over words or distracting physical and vocal tics.

You are not alone. Even experienced speakers can falter when all eyes are on them.

Who might benefit?

Perhaps you are a teacher, a minister, or a lawyer making courtroom appearances.

You could be in sales, presenting to a committee, or addressing a council meeting. Maybe you are giving a speech at a wedding, or the eulogy at a funeral.

You might even have been invited to deliver a TED Talk to an auditorium of thousands.

Tips and techniques

I have spent 25 years mastering the art of public speaking, teaching and performing and I can teach you a host of techniques and exercises, hints and tips.

You will have the tools to enable you to make a professional and lasting impression, regardless of the situation in which you are speaking.

How you might improve

You will discover how to pace delivery, improve projection, and direction, and use the most appropriate inflection and style for a given occasion.

This will reduce performance anxiety and promote confidence.

Your voice will gain a pleasing colour and depth, be powerful, pain-free and without fatigue.

LESSONS

With individuals and small groups, it is possible to make a noticeable difference with just a few sessions.

A two to three hour Public Speaking or Presentation workshop is well-suited for a larger group, as a training session within a workplace, educational, or other organisation-type setting.

Please refer to the Lessons and Workshops page for further details.
